Computers are incredible machines, constantly running streams of code behind the scenes. Unfortunately, this is where malicious software can sneak in, record your activities, and send your sensitive information to criminal networks. To safeguard yourself, make sure you have up-to-date virus, malware, and spyware protection installed on your computer.

Before entering your credit card details, consider the following:

• What are your first impressions of the payment system?
• Is the payment provider reputable and secure?
