RapidStudio Shines at the GAPP Awards
RapidStudio is over the moon with our incredible showing at the GAPP Awards! The GAPP Awards celebrate the pinnacle of excellence in the South African printing industry, encouraging innovation and professionalism in Graphics, Advertising, Print, and Packaging – vital elements that touch all of our lives.
A Night to Remember
The inaugural GAPP Awards ceremony was nothing short of spectacular. Held at the stunning Montecasino ballroom, the evening was a true feast for the senses, featuring:
- Beautifully dressed tables with silver settings and soft lighting
- Superb catering with an array of delicious dishes
- Elegant gowns, sharp suits, and plenty of fun entertainment
As the awards were announced, the excitement in the room was palpable. When our categories finally came up, we were thrilled to walk away with not one but TWO awards:
- Gold in “Folding and Finishing”
- Bronze in “Special Techniques and Finishes”

More Wins for Bowens
Our parent company, Bowens, also made a splash at the GAPP Awards:
- An Achiever Award for “Innovation”, where we designed a clever medical invitation – complete with a scalpel opener and layered “skins” for a fun surgical twist!
- Gold in “Variable Data Printing” for a personalised magazine cover for Nex Magazine.

And that’s not all! We also took home First Prize for the “Most Interactive Stand” at the 2016 Photo Film Expo. A huge thank you to everyone who visited our stand and shared in our creative journey!
