The 2016 Photo & Film Expo – What a Success!
The Photo & Film Expo is Africa’s premier industry event, drawing massive crowds from across the continent and across the professional spectrum. This year, RapidStudio was front and centre for this amazing event – and we brought along our spirit of collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and (of course) free cupcakes!
A Hands-On Showcase
We set up a demonstration stand to give visitors a hands-on, tactile experience of our products – from photobooks to canvas prints. Plus, we handed out 50% off vouchers to an excited crowd to help kick-start their printing projects.
Relaxing at the RapidStudio Lounge
RapidStudio’s Lounge was the perfect place for visitors to rest and recharge. We partnered with:
- Sevens for ultra-comfy furniture,
- Richarge for complimentary recharge stations, and
- Mowana Spa for free relaxing massages.
The RapidStudio Lounge looked like a scene straight out of a James Bond movie... but with cupcakes! Did we mention the cupcakes?
Sharing Knowledge with Industry Leaders
We proudly sponsored a stage where RapidStudio ambassadors and photography pros gave free talks. Special thanks to:

A Stunning Gallery with a Purpose
We also sponsored a huge gallery showcasing two powerful photographic initiatives:
- EveryDay Education, and
- Unequal Scenes by Johnny Miller.
Johnny Miller personally guided visitors through the Unequal Scenes gallery, sharing thought-provoking insights into the incredible images on display.
Most Interactive Stand – 1st Place!
Of course, we couldn’t resist bringing the fun! The yellow Morphs entertained visitors, making big smiles and happy photos at our Instagram-friendly backdrops. The energy paid off – RapidStudio won “Most Interactive Stand” for the second time!
