RapidStudio Joins the 702 Walk the Talk: A Tradition of Togetherness
In 2014, RapidStudio started a wonderful tradition of coming together as a company to participate in the annual 702 Walk the Talk. What began as a daunting task of walking 8km alongside colleagues soon transformed into a beloved event that fosters camaraderie and joy. This year was no different, with almost everyone showing up, some even bringing along their children and family members!
The Chilly Start
The day began in typical winter fashion, with plenty of moaning about the freezing temperatures and numb fingers. But as our team, dressed in bright yellow, made their way to the starting line, the excitement grew and warmed up even the coldest Joburg morning.
Entertainment and Inspiration
At the starting line, a crowd of over 20,000 walkers was entertained by musicians, 702 presenters, and an awe-inspiring flyover by two helicopters and an airplane piloted by SAPS members. As the national anthem echoed through the streets, a shared sense of unity filled the air, culminating in a thrilling countdown to the start.
The Walk Begins
The RapidStudio team slowly made their way through the streets of Joburg. Naturally, smaller groups began to form as walkers settled into their own paces. The route was lined with refreshment stations, musical entertainment, and even special treats for furry companions. The sights and sounds of thousands walking together for a good cause made the 8km journey feel effortless.
The Finish Line
Before we knew it, we reunited at the finish line, filled with a great sense of accomplishment and pride. The collective effort and energy of everyone participating made the event truly special.
A Beloved Tradition
Among all of RapidStudio’s traditions, the 702 Walk the Talk has become a personal favorite for many of us. It’s not just about the walk; it’s about coming together as a team, supporting a great cause, and making unforgettable memories. We’re already looking forward to the next one!
