How to Use Your Image as a Background in Your Photobook

In just a few steps, we’ll show you how to set your own image as a background in your photo book and add some creative effects to it.

Step 1: Add Your Image as a Background

Drag the image you want to use as a background to the edge of the page on your workspace and drop it there. As you drag, the page will gray out with labels such as "right side background," "left side background," or "whole page background."

Step 2: Add Opacity to Your Background

Right-click on your background image and select "Set Opacity."

Use the slider to adjust the opacity of your image, making it more or less transparent to achieve the desired effect.

Step 3: Apply a Color Overlay

Click on the "Color" button to add a color overlay to your background image.

Select a color from the palette. For this example, we used cyan:

Step 3 (Alternative): Apply a Color Effect

Alternatively, you can apply a pre-designed color effect to your background. Simply drag the desired effect onto your background image.

In this illustration, we used the "Copper" color effect to add a warm tone to the background.

With these steps, you can easily customise your photo book backgrounds to make your design more engaging and visually appealing. Have fun experimenting with effects!
