Creative Marketing with Andrew Ross

Another successful event for RapidStudio! This time, it wasn’t just something we participated in—we were the organizers. This was our brainchild, and we’re #Bragging about it!

The Venue and the Start of the Event

Despite a few struggles locating the venue (even with GPS), we all arrived looking sharp in our black Chinese-collar shirts. Marius and Jaco were already there, giving out name tags and proudly showing off the fantastic job they’d done setting up the venue. We were all grateful for their hard work!

The Marketing Insights of Andrew Ross

Andrew Ross wasted no time introducing himself and lightening the mood with some jokes about the menu. Once everyone was settled and orders placed, he began sharing his wealth of knowledge about the marketing industry. Andrew’s insights were nothing short of amazing, and we learned just how much the world of marketing has evolved.

Did you know the classic 4Ps of marketing (Product, Price, Place, Promotion) have been replaced by the 4Es? Engage, Educate, Encourage, and Evangelize are now the cornerstones of effective marketing. The idea of evangelism in marketing stood out the most: creating such a strong belief in your product that your customers willingly and passionately advocate for it.

A Personal Touch with Customers

This event wasn’t just about growing RapidStudio—it was about connecting with our customers on a personal level and helping them grow their businesses too. Looking into someone’s eyes while discussing your product has so much more impact than an email or a phone call. Seeing our customers satisfied and happy gave us all butterflies.

Teamwork and Camaraderie

Everyone wore the same shirts, from management to staff, creating a sense of unity and belonging. It’s little things like this that boost confidence and morale. Even when it came to packing up, everyone chipped in, regardless of their role. It’s a strategy that other businesses could definitely learn from!

Food, Fun, and Takeaways

After filling our brains with knowledge, it was time to fill our stomachs. Despite a lack of steak knives, everyone managed to enjoy their meals, followed by everyone’s favorite desserts. Discussions about the genius marketing methods continued well into the night. The camaraderie and laughter were the perfect wrap to an inspiring event.

Final Reflections

The highlight for me? Being recognised by customers I usually only speak to on the phone. Hearing their gratitude and knowing I’d made a difference in their experience was incredibly rewarding. Although, I did wonder how they recognized me until Val pointed out the obvious—my name tag!

Overall, this event was a massive success. We’re already looking forward to the next one, which promises to be even bigger and better. (Hopefully, it’ll be on a Friday night next time!)
